Dorothea Houser Purdy, 95

Died: May 5, 2013

 

Dorothea Houser Purdy, 95, of Leesburg, Fla., passed into her eternal reward May 5, 2013.

Dorie was a devoted Christian and prayer intercessor, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, the matriarch of five generations, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Her love extended to numerous friends all over the country whom she considered a part of her family.

She is survived by her children Suzanne Barter Dost, Paul Wm. Houser and Mary Ann Vylonis Smith all of Fla., eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were husbands: Walter C. Houser and Charles L. Purdy, son James A. Purdy and granddaughter Anissa L. Houser.

Graveside services will be held at Poe Cemetery, Jones, at a date yet to be determined.
