Donald Lee Stanfield, 72, of LaGrange, Ind. died Friday, Jan. 10, 2014 at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville, Ind.

Mr. Stanfield was born on Nov. 22, 1941 in Mishawaka, Ind. to William H. and Thelma (Everson) Stanfield. They preceded him in death.

Living most of his lifetime in Buchanan, Mich. he moved to LaGrange, Ind. in 2008. Mr. Stanfield was a quality control manager for Electro-Voice, Inc.

He was a United States veteran having served in the Marine Corps and a member of the LaGrange American Legion Post #215.

On Sept. 24, 1966 in South Bend, Ind. he married Janice Kazmierzak; Mrs. Stanfield survives in LaGrange, Ind.

Also surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Roxane and Chad Cerda of Indianapolis, Ind. and Rebecca Stanfield of Coral Springs, Fla.; two grandchildren, Keira and Lucas Cerda; a sister, Helen Verhoestra of Fishers, Ind.; and a brother, William H. Stanfield of South Bend, Ind.

A memorial visitation will take place on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 W. Michigan St., LaGrange, Ind.

Memorials may be made to the LaGrange American Legion Post #215.
