Eau Claire heading to SAC in 2015

Conference realignment continues in southwest Michigan.

Eau Claire is the latest school to announce it would switch conferences in 2015.

The Beavers are currently members of the Red Arrow Conference, which also includes Lake Michigan Catholic, New Buffalo, Grace Christian, Countryside, Micigan Lutheran and River Valley.

Eau Claire will move to the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SAC) starting in the fall of 2015.

The school board voted in favor of joining the SAC instead of the Berrien-Cass-St. Joseph Athletic Conference, which includes Brandywine, Buchanan and Cassopolis.

The SAC currently has 12 members in two divisions. The South Division consists of Watervliet, Hartford, Lawrence, Decatur, Lawton and Marcellus. The North Division consists of Saugatuck, Fennville, Bangor, Bloomingdale, Gobles and Martin.
