KatieDids contributes

A fundraiser held Tuesday benefited the CASIE Center of South Bend, which addresses child abuse.

The owner of KatieDids Cafe & Catering in Edwardsburg and founder of Angels Abound hosted a fundraising event to give back to Michiana Tuesday at The Villages at Arborwood, Granger.
All donations supported the CASIE Center of South Bend. The CASIE Center provides a comprehensive and coordinated multidisciplinary team approach to the problem of child abuse, with an emphasis on sexual abuse. The goal is to provide a safe, supportive, child friendly environment for child victims of abuse and neglect, their families and the multidisciplinary professionals who investigate and address these problems.
Items being sought for donation include full size toiletries including hair products for toddlers, teenage boys and girls, deodorant, ethnic hair products, underwear (girls size 10 and under/boys size medium and large), Pull-Ups, travel size baby wipes, 8-pack crayons, gender-neutral toys and travel size games, Hot Wheels, ZuZu Pets, Littlest Pet Shop sets. The CASIE Center also has a wish list for their playroom. Those items include a play vacuum cleaner, new or gently used Little Tikes washer/dryer set, new or gently used Fisher Price castles, pirate ships and pirates and culturally diverse baby dolls.
