The 1th annual Chieftain Golf Outing will be held June 11 at Indian Lakes Hills Golf Course.

The event, which will begin with registration at 9 a.m. and a shotgun start at 10, benefits the Dowagiac Athletic Booster Club and the Dowagiac Union School’s Foundation.

The golf outing has been hugely successful from its inaugural event.

Along with 18 holes of golf at Indian Lake Hills, there is a hole-in-one contest, longest drive and closest to the pin contests for both men and women, mulligans, a silent auction, cookout and beverages, along with raffles and prizes.

The outing is currently looking for sponsors.

There are six sponsorship levels — Platinum ($2,000 and above), Gold ($1,000), Scholarship Hole Sponsor ($500), Silver ($250), Bronze ($100) and Merchandise Sponsor.

Platinum Level Sponsor

$2,000 and above

At the platinum level, your business will be recognized during the reception following the outing, on signage at the registration table, will be included in all district wide publicity, and the entry for one foursome for each $1000 contributed will be paid.

Gold Level Sponsor

$1,000

Same as the Platinum Level, but only one foursome included.

Scholarship Hole Sponsor

$500

As an athletic scholarship hole sponsor, your business will provide one Dowagiac student-athlete a college scholarship to be awarded at the annual All-Sports Banquet. Your business will be recognized at the banquet as well as with signage at one of the holes and the registration table.

Silver Level Sponsor

$250

At the silver level, your business will be a sponsor in the longest drive, closest to

pin or hole-in-one contests.

Bronze Level Sponsor

$100

At the bronze level, your business will be named on one of the 18 holes as a Hole Sponsor.

Merchandise Sponsor

As a merchandise sponsor, your business can make a donation of merchandise or gift certificates to be used as prizes.

Your business could also donate services for the outing.

Team entries are $400 per four-man team. Individuals may also enter for $100 and they will be placed with a team.

For more information on the sponsorships, to donate to the outing or to register, contact Dowagiac Athletic Director Brent Nate 782-4470.
