Driver ejected, hospitalized in roll-over

Emergency responders including the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department, Buchanan City Police Department, Buchanan City Fire Department and Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulance Service were sent to a roll-over accident on Rangeline Road near Walton Road in Buchanan Township.

Sgt. Steve Campbell with the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department reports that at approximately 6:10 p.m. on Friday evening a single vehicle, described as a 1996 red Ford Ranger, left the roadway to the right, overcorrected, crossed the centerline, back to the right and ultimately ran off the road.

The vehicle rolled over multiple times and the driver and only occupant was ejected.

Deputies are investigating the accident and were attempting to verify the identity of the driver who was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
