Breta Ann Woodhull Stahly, 67, of Cassopolis

Today, Breta Ann Woodhull Stahly left this world to be with her higher power.

Her life began Dec. 13, 1945. She lived 67 wonderful years, with the last five diligently and spiritedly fighting ovarian cancer. During her time here on earth, she touched the lives of countless numbers of people.

This includes those in her immediate family whom she has left behind. Her husband of 45 years, Denny Stahly of Cassopolis; her sons and daughters-in-law T.J. and Gwen Stahly of Edwardsburg and Neal and Michelle Stahly of Tell City, Ind., along with their three children, Nicholas, Alec and Olivia. Her dog, Largo, was also with her to the end.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Olivia (Days) and Ben Woodhull of Elkhart, Ind., and her mother- and father-in-law Pauline (Weldy) and Lamar Stahly of Nappanee, Ind.

She will be dearly missed  by those who have known her, but their lives are brighter and fuller because of  her.

A memorial service will be held Saturday  at the pavilion at Island Park in Elkhart beginning at 2 p.m. There will be a carry-in meal with meat and drinks provided, with the memorial service to follow. Donations may be made in Breta’s name to Hospice at Home: 4017 Chamberlain Rd. Buchanan, MI 49107.
