Armed robbers hit Berrien County gas station

Police are looking for two suspects connected with the armed robbery of a BP gas station in Berrien County early Tuesday morning.

At approx. 2:52 a.m. Tuesday, two people entered the BP gas station on M-139 near the St. Joe Valley Parkway (US-31 freeway). Each person had a handgun showing and demanded money from the store.

The clerk complied with the instructions and the subjects left with an undetermined amount of money. The clerk was made to lay down on the floor prior to the subjects leaving. The clerk was able to dial 911 for help. There were no other customers in the store and no injuries were sustained. There is no vehicle information at this time.

Suspects were described as: (1) a black male, 5-8 to 5-10, thin build wearing a block hooded sweat shirt with blue jeans and wearing black and white athletic style shoes, he was also wearing a black bandana around his face; (2) a white male 5-8 to 5-10 with a heavy build and wearing grey sweat pants low with blue under-ware showing and a blue hooded sweatshirt with some sort of white letter design on it, that suspect was also wearing a blue and white bandana over his face.

The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department road patrol deputies assisted in maintaining scene security. They also used a K-9 unit to find any potential tracks but none were found.
