2 Buchanan residents arrested on drug charges

An investigation into illegal drug activity as a Buchanan home resulted in two arrests Wednesday.

Grant Hemminger, 22, and Jesse Lindamood, 20, of 806 Enterprise St., were detained by the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit after a search warrant was executed at the home at 6:05 p.m. Hemminger is charged with possession of cocaine and Lindamood is charged with possession of marijuana and maintaining a drug house.

According to D/Lt. Robert Boyce, the narcotics unit executed the warrant with assistance from the Berrien County Sheriff Department’s Road Patrol and the Buchanan City Police Department following a two-week investigation into illegal narcotic activity at this residence.

During a search of the residence, the officers located and seized approximately $100 worth of powder cocaine and approximately $100 worth of marijuana as well as other evidence of illegal narcotic sales and use.

The officers also seized $383 in U.S. Currency and two cell phones under the State
of Michigan’s civil forfeiture law.

Both Grant Hemminger and Jesse Lindamood were lodged at the Berrien County Jail on their charges pending their arraignments in the Berrien County Trial Court.
