Grape workshop April 25

A workshop teaches how to optimize canopy coverage and ensure that expensive crop protection chemicals are not wasted.
This in-field calibration workshop is April 25 at the Southwest Michigan Research and Extension Center (SWMREC), 1791 Hillandale Rd., Benton Harbor.
Learn how to calibrate a sprayer, make adjustments for early season canopy coverage and select the best nozzles for each sprayer type.
Learn about low-cost fixes for airblast sprayers to improve coverage. See comparisons of canopy coverage using different sprayer types with fluorescent dye and UV lights.
Featured presenters are Mark Ledebuhr, of Application Insight, and John Stone, of the  MSU IPM Program.
This meeting partially sponsored by The National Grape Cooperative and The Michigan Grape and Wine Industry Council, has been approved for 4 RUP recertification credits.
Registration, $25 per person, may be made at the Berrien County MSUE office at 1737 Hillandale Rd., Benton Harbor.
Supper is included.
