Niles girls third at Berrien County Meet

ST. JOSEPH – The Niles girls cross country team posted its best effort of the season by finishing third at the Berrien County Meet at Riverview Park Saturday.

St. Joseph won the team title with 25 points, while Lakeshore was second with 78 and Niles third with 97.

Watervliet’s Gabby Tavolacci was the overall winner with a time of 19:15.

Niles was led by Libby Hein’s 22nd place finish and a time of 22:31.

Brandywine was seventh in the boys race, which was also won by St. Joseph. Niles placed ninth.

Michael Robbins was 22nd with a time of 17:53 to lead the Bobcats.
