Ashley Lee Burkey, 6, of Edwardsburg, passed away at 6:25 a.m. April 7, 2013 at Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born April 17, 2006 in Kalamazoo to Brett Allen Delany and Tabatha Pearl Anglemyer.

Her parents survive along with two brothers, twin brother, Dylan Burkey and brother, Chase Burkey both of Edwardsburg, grandparents Ed and Linda Delaney of Charleston, S.C., grandfather Art Berkey of Union, grandparents Roger and Debra Anglemyer of Jones, great-grandfather Ted Mosher of Wisconsin. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ashley was in the first grade at Edwardsburg Elementary school. She enjoyed going to school, loved to go swimming, enjoyed coloring, painting her fingernails, telling stories, riding her bike, singing and spending time with her family.

Visitation for Ashley will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Pastor Carl Henry from the Northside Baptist Church will preside and burial will follow in Rice Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
