The Berrien County website was hacked sometime in the past 24 hours by a group claiming to be Anonymous X-SecT V3.0.

The county’s website, berriencounty.org, was still hacked as of 10:15 a.m. Saturday morning. It is unclear how long it has been hacked.

The hackers left a message on the website reading, “Hello visitors! We are Anonymous X-SecT V3.0, some basement skidz pretending to be l33t haxorz! We eat (expletive) all day long an we are as ugly as a raccoon! We are the internet elite (expletive) and we hacked the (expletive) out of your (expletive)!”

The hackers then asked everyone, including the “fedz” the visit their Facebook page.

The Niles Daily Star has left a message seeking comment with the county’s information systems department Saturday morning.
