Niles Haunted House Scream Park

Niles has one of the top haunted attractions in the area in the Niles Haunted House Scream Park, but it is not alone in southwest Michigan.

There are plenty of other options for those looking for even more spooky fun this Halloween season.

Here are some options for thrill seekers willing to take a road trip:

• Constantine Scarefest, Constantine: The 8th annual haunted trail and woods event takes place at 17203 Centreville-Constantine Rd. in Constantine. It is open Fridays and Saturdays from 8 to 11:30 p.m. until Oct. 29. Admission is $4. For more information, call (269) 464-6232.

• Phobia House, Plainwell: Located at 84 N. Douglas St. in Plainwell, the Phobia House, is open Thursday through Saturdays from 7:15 to midnight. The week before Halloween, it is open Wednesday through Monday. Tickets are $15. Call (269) 599-4328.

• Psycho Ward & Nightmares, Kalamazoo: Located at 7656 Ravine Road in Kalamazoo, this haunted house has a special event every night. It is open 7:30 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday and Oct. 21-22, 28-31. For details, call (269) 491-0060 or go to www.hauntpark.com.

• SplatmanBoo Haunted Forest, Three Rivers: This one-time scare takes place 8 p.m. Oct. 29 at 13650 Harder Rd., Three Rivers. Tickets are $5 with all proceeds going to the Domestic Assault Shelter of St. Joseph County. Not recommended for those younger than 14. More information at www.splatmanboohauntedforest.com.
