CASSOPOLIS — A travel advisory issued by Cass County Sheriff’s Richard Behnke remains in effect until 1 p.m. Saturday.

Roadways in Cass County remain treacherous and many roads are drifted shut. High winds and blowing snow will continue and make for white-out conditions,

The Cass County Road Commission has pulled plows off the road at this time for safety of the driving public and the safety of their crews. They play to begin plowing again tomorrow based on visibility.

No one should consider driving in these conditions unless it is an absolute emergency. If one chooses to travel during this storm and are in a crash, you can face a ticket for being at fault. There is no exception for the bad weather.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to stay home and travel only if it is an emergency.
