Two restaurants in Niles Township reported break-ins early this morning.

According to Sgt. Steve Campbell of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department, officers responded to a break-in that occurred at the State Line Diner, 319 State Lind Rd., sometime between Sunday night and this morning at 6.
A second break-in was discovered at Gina’s Pizza, 2640 South Third St.
Both incidents are believed to be related with similar methods of operation.
“They (the locations) are both close together and the method of breaking into the businesses were the same,” Campbell said. “Once the suspect was inside both buildings, the behavior was the same — based on what we observed when we went in.”
If anyone has information as to who may be responsible for these events, contact the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.
“We are asking for help,” Campbell said, adding both incidents would likely be featured on Michiana Crime Stoppers.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
