Abbey Krugh is a senior on the Edwardsburg girls basketball team.
What has been one of your greatest accomplishments as an athlete?
AK: Second-team All-State.
What has been one of your biggest disappointments as an athlete?
AK: Losing in the regional finals.
When are you the most nervous while you are competing?
AK: Right before tipoff.
Describe an embarrassing athletic moment.
AK: Anytime I’ve fallen on the court.
How do you tend to workout/train when by yourself?
AK: I get a lot of shots up and play against a friend.
What other sport would you like to compete in if you were not playing yours?
AK: Golf.
Why are sports an important part of a high school experience?
AK: [You] create a bond with some people you may have never gotten close with.
How would you give away $50,000?
AK: Riley’s Children Hospital.
If I did not play sports, I would…?
AK: Get a job or volunteer.
What is the most challenging thing for you to do in your sport?
AK: Staying engaged and focused all four quarters.
If you could change one rule about your sport, what would it be?
AK: Have a shot clock in high school, or more than five fouls.
What is the best compliment you have ever received?
AK: Anytime someone from the stands yells “shoot” when I have the ball.
What is your favorite hobby? Why?
AK: Hanging out with friends, because I have a lot of fun around them.
