Thomas S. Grant, Senior Lender and Community President for Chemical Bank, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lauren Thurston to Commercial Lender.

“We are very excited to have Lauren on board with our local Niles team.  In this role, she will help serve our branch staff and customer base from New Buffalo to Edwardsburg and Niles to Eau Claire including our locations in Three Oaks, Buchanan, and Berrien Springs,” stated Grant. “Lauren is a great addition to our group and has a very solid credit underwriting background and with her knowledge she will help expedite our quality service to our small business customers.”

Thurston is responsible for managing, developing and underwriting commercial banking relationships within the Greater Niles area with a focus on the small business customers. She joined Chemical Bank in 2003 and has spent the last four years as a Commercial Credit Analyst in Midland, Michigan. Thurston holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Saginaw Valley State University.

Active in the community, Thurston has been involved with Chemical Bank’s Midland County Relay for Life team for four years and she served as team captain for the 2011 event. She also volunteered with the Midland Area Chamber of Commerce and participates in Teach Children to Save Week.
