It was a busy week for area boys and girls basketball teams, as well as wrestling teams.

Dowagiac and Edwardsburg swept Wolverine Conference wrestling matches in the final regular league matches of the season.

The Eddies finished the dual meet schedule 9-0, while the Chieftains were 7-2.

The Brandywine girls basketball team picked up a win over arch rival Buchanan Friday night, while the Bucks held off a late Bobcat rally to win the boys contest.

The Brandywine boys team did pick up a win Tuesday night against Watervliet, while Niles dropped a SMAC non-divisional game to Kalamazoo Central.
