Dowagiac wrestlers split with Eddies, Shamrocks

PAW PAW — The Dowagiac wrestling team split a pair of matches at the Wolverine Conference Quad at Paw Paw Wednesday.

The Chieftains were defeated by Edwardsburg 57-15, but rebounded to beat Berrien Springs 45-25.

Nathanael Ward (135) and Tristan Howard (285) were the only Dowagiac wrestlers to win two matches.

Also picking up wins for the Chieftains were Kody Walker (103), Shawn Sirk (130), Nathan Tackitt (140), William Phillips (145), Aubrey Hustin (152), Caleb Sands (160), Tom Smith (171) and Troy Ring (189).

Dowagiac will travel to St. Joseph to compete in the Greater Berrien County Invitational Saturday.
