Brandywine beats Comstock, advances to tournament finals

WHITE PIGEON — A trio of Bobcats reached double figures as Brandywine cruised into the finals of the White Pigeon Holiday Tournament with a 68-41 win over Comstock in boys basketball action Monday night.

Andrew Duckett led the Bobcats (3-2) with 16 points, while Austin Knapp and Zach Schmidt added 13 and 10 points respectively.

Brandywine led 13-5 after one quarter and 24-12 at halftime.

The Bobcats took a 17-point (47-30) advantage into the fourth quarter.

Chad Dingman and Chad Paddeck both scored seven points for the Colts.

Brandywine will face White Pigeon, who defeated Gobles 54-33, in the other game, in the championship game set for 7 p.m.

Gobles and Comstock will play in the consolation game at 5:30 p.m.
