A suspicious death is being investigated by the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.

Lt./Det. Greg Sanders said the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 2800 block of Fairview Road in Pipestone Township at 8:22 a.m. Friday after being contacted by relatives of the deceased.

The location where the body was found, Sanders said, is a single family home with a detached garage.

Sanders said he could not comment on whether or not there was a suspect or person of interest at this time.
