KALAMAZOO — After a scoreless 40 minutes of play, visiting Niles got a goal from Conner Amberg to edge Kalamazoo Loy Norrix 1-0 in SMAC soccer Thursday.

Jose Magna picked up the assist on the Amberg goal.

Mika Farinella had six saves for the Vikings, who outshot the Knights 12-6.

In the JV match, Niles and Loy Norrix played just one half due to weather.

Jared Haney scored the Niles goal off an assist from Mauricio Aquirre in the 1-1 draw.
