Judy K. Scott, 67, of Niles, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 22, 2014.

She was born Judy Ann Hatcher on June 24, 1946 to Lee Hatcher and Mary Wilbert Moore, both preceding her in death. Judy was also preceded in death by her step-father Shearwood Cross, two sisters Shirley Hatcher-Roscoe and Venita Hatcher-Merritt, a brother Billy Hatcher and her best friend/sister Ruthie Mae Williams.

Judy was a 1965 graduate of Niles High School. She accepted Christ at an early age. She surrendered her life to Christ, became an Intercessor Prayer Warrior and used her gifts without limits at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Bryant L. Bacon.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories a daughter Mary Jo (Rev. Anthony) Taylor of Wayne, Michigan, two sons Billy (Telisha) Kirtdoll of Irving, Texas and Kevin (Sybil) Kirtdoll of Grand Prairie, Texas, seven beautiful grandchildren; Brensen, Jasmine, Paige, Kevin II, Jermaine, Elaya and Kayla. Ten sisters; Jacqueline (Henry) Thomas of Niles, Phyllis (John) Harris of Battle Creek, Joice (Ronnie) Quinn of College Park, Georiga, Wanda (Leon) Mack of Ypsilanti, Melody (Lee) Woods of Ypsilanti, April (Kendall) Davis of Spartenburg, South Carolina, Lillian Cobb of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Vivian Moore of Oakland, California, Nanette Austin of Indianapolis, Darlinda (John) Harris of South Bend, Three brothers; Don Cross of Niles, Ricky (Sandra) Cross of Ypsilanti and Roger (Sandra) Turner of Indianapolis, five aunts; Minister Lovie Mae (Eugene) Nichols of Chicago, Rosie Lee Lyons of Niles, Alma Lee Miller of Niles, and Christine Hatcher of Seattle, two uncles John (Josephine) Moore of Chicago and Troy (Florence) Moore of Chicago, a Godchild Yolanda Kirtdoll-Austin of South Bend and an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Noon at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Niles with a time of visitation beginning at 10 a.m. An interment will follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.
