The second annual Diamond Lake Triathlon will be July 5.

The triathlon is held in memory of Alex Stscherban, who collapsed after competing in a triathlon in South Haven in 2012.

The first Diamond Lake triathlon was held July 6, 2013 and drew 134 participants.

The course includes a 500-yard swim, 12-mile bike ride and 3.1-mile run.

Thomas Trout and Kim Albin were the overall male and female winners with times of 55:53.6 and 1:07:22.3 respectively.

There is still time to register for the triathlon. The first wave hits the water at 8 a.m.
