Area players named All-State

Edwardsburg landed a pair of players on the first team of the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association team, which was released Wednesday.

Niles had one player on the Division 2 team, while Brandywine had a player named to the Division 3 squad.

Kaley Frank and McKenzie Creed were first team selections for the Eddies. Olivia Jordan represented the Vikings.

Frank hit .473 this season for Edwardsburg with 15 doubles, two triples, four home runs and 43 RBIs.

Creed hit .456 with 12 doubles, two triples, one home run and 31 RBIs.

Jordan hit over .500 for the Vikings this season.

Hartline hit .510 for the Bobcats during the regular season with seven doubles, one triple, nine home runs and 47 RBIs.

Division 2 state champion Lakeshore had Alex Forsythe and Haley Thibeault named to the first team and Julie Carpenter to the honorable mention portion of the squad.
