Cassopolis Board of Education Trustee Lori Whitmyer has resigned effective immediately for personal reasons.

Cassopolis school officials  announced Whitmyer’s resignation Wednesday afternoon.

Cassopolis is now looking for someone to fill the vacancy, which will be served until the November election.

Applications are available on Cassopolis’ website at www.cassopolis.k12.mi.us or at the main office located at 725 Center St. Completed applications must be return to cmartynowicz@cassopolis.org or by fax at 445-0505 by noon May 9.

Candidates must attend the May 12 board meeting for brief interviews.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
