COA releases new look for publication, program catalog

The Cass County COA has revamped its look, logo and stationery, and created a new look for its monthly publication, The Messenger.  In addition, there is a brand new catalog “Enhancing Life” featuring classes, events and programs for spring (March through May).

The goal of the new design is to reflect the vision of the Cass County COA.  The COA is hard at work creating programming and activities for adults who are active, social and engaged.

The new catalog is called “Enhancing Life,” which is also the new tag line for the COA.

“It better represents our mission,” said Bob Cochrane, CEO.  “We are offering fantastic adult learning programs through our Institute for Lifelong Learning, as well as events that reflect those who look at their life stage in a much different fashion than their predecessors.  The people who come to our Lowe Center in Cassopolis or Front Street Crossing in Dowagiac are vibrant and energetic.  They are looking for programming that includes computer classes, gardening programs, book clubs, fitness classes as well as groups and clubs that make the COA a community.”

The “Enhancing Life” catalog will be a pullout section in the March issue of The Messenger.  The three-month advance programming makes it easier for users to plan ahead, mark their calendars and reserve a spot for a program of interest.  Included in the catalog are new classes on “Conversational Spanish,” “The Talk:  A Panel on Looking Ahead,” “Master Gardening” and more.  In addition, Front Street Crossing in Dowagiac will be a venue for the Dowagiac Dogwood Fine Arts Festival.  The “Master Storyteller” program will take place there on Tuesday, May 13, from 7 to 9 p.m.
