Bridgman rallies to edge Bucks in overtime

BRIDGMAN — Host Bridgman rallied from a 17-6 first quarter deficit to defeat Buchanan 66-60 in overtime Friday night.

The win gave the Bees the outright Lakeland Conference championship.

Bridgman cut the Bucks’ 11-point lead down to a basket (23-21) by halftime and to one point (38-37) heading to the fourth quarter.

The Bees outscored Buchanan 18-17 in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime, where it held an 11-5 advantage in scoring.

Dan Koziel led Bridgman and all scorers with 23 points, Nick Knowlton added 17.

Buchanan got 20 points from Doug Freeman and 10 points from Kevin Day.
