Honor Credit Union recently received the Platinum Stake Award from the Cornerstone Chamber of Commerce and Cornerstone Alliance in their Business Recognition Program for 2013.

The Platinum Stake Award is awarded based on criteria measuring a business’ increasing investment in the local economy. Focused on continuously providing a higher level of service to their growing membership, Honor Credit Union has made capital investments totaling over $1 million in the local community.

A few of the local investments that qualified Honor for the Platinum Stake Award included the purchase of the Edgewater Bank branch in Decatur, tear down and rebuild of Honor’s Dowagiac branch location, and purchase of land to begin construction on a new centralized operations center.

In line with Honor’s member promise to provide solutions for financial success, every investment was made with the ultimate goal of providing an even higher level of service to their members, according to Honor Credit Union.

“It is such an honor to receive the Platinum Stake Award from the Cornerstone Chamber,” said Honor CEO Scott McFarland. “We are proud of the accomplishments in 2013 and look forward to what 2014 has in store.”
