Dowagiac knocks off Berrien Springs 58-45

Host Dowagiac got off to a quick start and never looked back in handing Berrien Springs a 58-45 Wolverine Conference West Division boys basketball loss Monday night.
The Chieftains squared their season and division records with the victory. Dowagiac, which led 16-7 after one quarter, is now 6-6 overall and 3-3 in the West.
The Shamrocks (5-6, 2-4 West) trailed 26-18 at the intermission.
The Chieftains outscored Berrien Springs 15-12 in the third quarter to open up a double digit lead it did not relinquish.
Davion Highsmith and Kyle Solloway both had 17 points to lead the Chieftains, who also got 12 points from Brandon Winchster-Jones.
Nick Little led the Shamrocks with 12 points.
