The Ring Lardner eighth-grade boys basketball team defeated Dowagica 33-21 Wednesday.

The Vikings were led by Johnny Bybee’s game-high 12 points. Connor Brawley added seven points and five assists, while Trey Gatson added five points.

Jordan Schatzer grabbed nine rebounds to go along with his basket, Kendall Whitlow finished with two points and eight rebounds, while Dayton Smith had seven rebounds and two steals.

On Tuesday, Ring Lardner defeated John Young Middle School 42-12.

Schatzer got the Vikings off to a fast start with six first half points. Bybee, Chandler Dodd and Tony Nate all had five points.

Dayton Smith finished with four points and seven rebounds.
