The Four Flags Players will offer five performances of the play, “We Must Kill Toni,” in July at First Presbyterian Church, 13 S. 4th St., Niles.
Performances will take place at 7 p.m. July 5, 7 p.m. July 6; at 2 p.m. July 7; Friday, July 12 at 7 p.m.; and at 7 p.m. July 13.

Written by Ian Stuart Black in 1953, the story opens with the brothers of the Oberon family — Douglas and Francis — discussing a matter of some importance. They are to be displaced from their ancient ancestral home by the arrival of their distant cousin, Toni, who has recently inherited the estate.
The estate passes along matriarchal lines (female to female) in the Oberon clan, so the brothers are forced to deal with this problem in the same manner as their forefathers.
To this end, discussions begin as to whether they should murder the girl and inherit her money (and regain their estate) in one swift strike, or if one of the brothers should marry the girl and control her. Each brother has his own opinion on which course of action to take, but, in the end, they choose one path. When Toni arrives and is nothing like what they expect, they begin to question their course of action.
In the end, after the smoke clears, the fate of the Oberon estate shall be decided. Will the two brothers rule in the end? Will one brother control the estate with Toni? Who will the family butler, Harris, choose to support? And how will the family deal with an intrusive reporter, who is determined to get her story?
Four Flags Players is a local amateur theater group in Niles. The Players perform multiple stage plays, housed in the Fellowship Hall of the First Presbyterian Church, as well as providing Mystery Dinner Theater fundraisers.
