A trio of young ladies will compete for the title of Miss Edwardsburg in the Performing Arts Center Nov. 16.

This year’s theme is “Madagascar!”

The pageant will start at 5 p.m. with doors set to open at 4:30. Tickets are available by calling (574) 215-4355 or may be purchased at the door.

“The Miss/Mr. Edwardsburg Youth Scholarship Program is a community service program that strives to assist in individual social development and leadership qualities through mentoring,” Program Director Tammy Boyer said. “The program’s philosophy is that ‘everyone is a winner.’ Every young person who participates will be enriched with new experiences, new friendships and awareness of their own potential.

“We encourage the youth of Edwardsburg to get involved in this great program. These youth learn a lot about giving back to our community and giving selflessly. They visit places like The Kroc Center Mentoring Day, local community service events and of course they get to build and ride on a float in local parades and much more.”

The Miss/Mr. Edwardsburg Youth Scholarship Program is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 19. Miss/Mr. contest winners are awarded valuable scholarships.
