The November election did not result in any changes to the makeup of the Niles City Council.

Four current members ran unopposed Tuesday and, with no write-in candidates on the ballot, all four were elected.

Gretchen Bertschy was elected to represent the first ward, while Robert Durm was elected to represent the second ward, William Weimer the third ward and Tim Skalla the fourth ward.

Their terms will expire Nov. 13, 2017.

Candidates running unopposed only need one vote to be elected.
