Ruth B. Tilley, 85

Died: June 1, 2013                                                                  

 

Ruth’s life began on May 12, 1928, in Bridgman, the daughter of Erdmand and Bessie (Hartline) Granke.

 

She was a homemaker who could never sit idle. Ruth loved to bake, cook and crochet.  Outside, she took great pride in her yard and was a hard worker. 

 

Her loving family includes: three children, Dale (Glenda) Ormiston of Dowagiac, Margie (Mark) Brock of Coldwater and Clyde Ormiston of Dowagiac; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ernie (Pat) Granke of Sawyer and Eugene Granke of Chicago. 

 

Ruth passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at The Timbers of Cass County in Dowagiac.

 

She is preceded in death by brothers Bert and Julius Granke and daughter-in-law Sharon Ormiston. 

 

Her services were held on June 6 at Yazel and Clark Chapel, led by Pastor Justin Shepard of Michiana Church of Christ. She was laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to Michiana Church of Christ.
