The Michigan Department of Transportation notified the City of Dowagiac of a minor sewage spill at Sister Lakes at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
The spill on M-152 between Pleasant Street and Leach Road involved less than 300 gallons and was cleaned up by 2 p.m. Tuesday
A city spokeswoman attributed the spill to an air valve failing on the force main.
