Brandywine softball team 2-1 at Lawton invite

LAWTON – The Brandywine softball team went 2-1 at the Lawton Blue Devil Invitational Saturday.

The Bobcats defeated Schoolcraft 7-3, lost to Paw Paw 16-0 and defeated Martin 5-2.

Mikayla Kemp scattered seven hits in earning the victory in the circle for the Bobcats. She also went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs.

Justine Sater was 2-for-3 with a double, while Victoria Ebersol and Ayralynn Lasane also had two hits.

Brandywine managed just two hits in the loss to the Redskins.

Kemp suffered the loss.

The Bobcats bounced back from its loss to Paw Paw to defeat Martin 5-2.

Kemp picked up the victory, tossing a four-hitter with four strikeouts.

Michaela Hartline, Sater and Makenna Hartline all had two hits for the Bobcats. Michaela Hartline was 2-for-2 with a triple and an RBI. Sater, Rachael Ort and Maranda Smallmon all drove in runs.
