A two-car crash on M-51 near Crystal Springs Road Wednesday morning injured two women.

Cass County Sheriff Joseph Underwood Jr. reports his deputies responded to the accident at 8:34 a.m. Feb. 20.

Investigation showed that the northbound vehicle driven by Tamara Midaya, 37, of Chicago, lost control of her vehicle and struck a southbound vehicle driven by Kelsie Primley, 19, of Dowagiac.

Both drivers were transported to Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital due to injuries sustained in the crash, deputies said.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. Alcohol was not a factor.

Assisting at the scene were Pokagon Fire Department and Pride Care ambulance.

The crash remains under investigation.
