BANGOR — The Niles boys and girls cross country teams finished 12th at the Bangor Invitational Saturday.

South Haven was the boys overall winner with a score of 48. Niles finished with a score of 276.

Nathan Vanderroest of South Haven was the individual champion with a time of 16:38.

Gaberial Trujillo led the Vikings with a 36th place finish and a time of 18:56.

Plainwell captured the girls championship with 56 points. Niles had 277 points. Buchanan was 14th with 323 points.

Trista Straube of Hastings was the individual champion with a time of 19:07.

Bridgett Carpenter led the Vikings with a 37th place finish and a time of 23:38.
