ST. JOSEPH — St. Joseph and Grand Rapids South Christian won the boys and girls titles at the St. Joseph Invitational at Riverview Park Tuesday.

The Bears edged Sturgis 28-30 for the boys title, while Saugatuck was third with 36 points, Battle Creek Lakeview fourth with 39 points and Otsego fifth with 40 points.

Edwardsburg was 17th (116) and Niles 18th (119).

South Christian defeated St. Joseph for the girls title 28-36.

Battle Creek Lakeview was third with 46 points, Portage Central fourth with 48 points and Vicksburg fifth with 49 points.

Edwardsburg was 14th (91) and Niles 16th (110).

St. Joseph won the combined title with 64 points over Lakeview, which finished with 85 points. Saugatuck, South Christian and Portage Central rounded out the top five.

Edwardsburg was 14th and Niles 17th.

Portage Central’s Connor Wuori was the winner of the boys 9-10 race, while Saugatuck’s Sean Kelly won the 11-12 race with a time of 16:07.

Alexis Miller of South Christian was the 9-10 girls winner with a time of 19:32. Sturgis’ Peyton Boughton was the girls 11-12 winner with a time of 19:45.
