Police seeking woman, child in abduction case

Authorities are looking for a St. Joseph woman who reportedly abducted a 2-year-old girl during a supervised visit this morning.

The St. Joseph Police Department responded to the parental child abduction at 10:28 a.m. in the 500 block of Court Street.

Child Protective Services (CPS) was conducting a scheduled supervised visit with the biological mother, Lisa West.

West left the residence without permission from CPS. It is not known whether she left the scene on foot or vehicle.

The child is a 2-year-old female, Chloe Christina West, last seen wearing a flowered summer dress and 10 pigtails.

West was last seen wearing black shorts and a white T-shirt. She is 5 feet 5 inches tall, 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

She may be accompanied by Wayne Henry, of Benton Harbor.
