John Jarpe will remain superintendent of Brandywine Community Schools for at least another two years.

On Monday, the Brandywine Board of Education approved Jarpe’s contract extension through June 30, 2014, by a 6-0 vote with Doris Schoenleber absent.

Jarpe has been superintendent at Brandywine since 2007 after working 19 years in St. Joseph Schools as a principal and, for a time, special education director.

Jarpe said the contract includes no increase in salary.

The school board also approved contract extensions for the following administrators: Kathy Holy, finance director; Patrick Weckel, high school/middle school principal; Jim Boger, high school/middle school assistant principal; Vance Stratton, athletic director/school work coordinator; Karen Weimer, Merritt Elementary principal; Tim Bagby, Brandywine Elementary principal; Doug Fox, information systems director; and Dave Seidner, maintenance/transportation supervisor.

The contracts include no salary increases.

Administrative contracts are renewed annually.
