EDWARDSBURG - RVs poured into the yard of Clark and Nancy Mead on Elkhart Road, Edwardsburg, this week as fellow members of the Four Winds Barbershop Chorus met for a reunion.
The "snowbirds," who winter in Gulf Shores, Ala. formed the barbershop singing group about 10 years ago.
Tomorrow, Friday Aug. 13, at 7 p.m., 27 members of the group, which numbers about 40, will perform at Hope United Methodist Church, a little further north at 69941 Elkhart Rd. They will also sing at all three Sunday morning services at 8:15, 9:45 and 10:45 a.m.
In between their Edwardsburg performances, on Saturday the men will go down to the Nappanee Arts Festival and later sing in Goshen.
They have been enjoying the week in Michigan visiting wineries, restaurants and shops. This is the fourth time they have stayed at the Meads, as they join for a reunion every two years.
Clark is a former biology teacher for 34 years in the Edwardsburg School District and his wife Nancy also worked for the district as an aide.
Call the church at 269-663-5321 for more information.
