Jennifer Companion and Jeffrey Patton are the parents of a son, Dakota James Patton, born Feb. 14, 2011 at Lakeland-Niles. He weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce.

They are also the parents of one son, Jacob Patton, 5; and two daughters, Mackenzie Staniszewski, 7, and Kendra Patton, 6.

Maternal grandparents are Carl Companion Jr. of Baroda and Jimmy and Tina Walter of Baytown, Texas.

Paternal grandparents are Leon and Roxanne Patton of Galien.

Maternal grandparents are Walt and Jean Freyer of Michigan and Lodine Companion of Bridgman.
