NILES -- Buchanan High School junior Gordon Bryant is the Niles Daily Star Athlete of the Week for March 22-27.
Bryant is a member of the Buchanan varsity basketball team that split a pair of games in the Class C State Tournament last week.
In a 60-47 win over Albion in the quarterfinals at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Bryant scored 14 points.
In a 61-44 loss to Saginaw Buena Vista in the semifinals at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Bryant again scored 14 points.
He made two 3-pointers in each game.
