NILES -- Niles High School senior Sandy Molnar and Brandywine High School senior Mike Beauchamp are the Niles Daily Star Athletes of the Week for Feb. 2-7.
Molnar is the setter on the Niles varsity volleyball team which split a pair of matches last week. In a non-conference victory over Coloma, Molnar had 29 assists, six kills, two digs, one block and one ace. In a loss to St. Joseph in Big 16 West Division play, Molnar had 10 assists and four digs.
Beauchamp is a member of the Brandywine varsity basketball team which lost a pair of Lakeland Conference games last week. In a 70-58 loss to Buchanan, Beauchamp scored 10 points. In a 73-68 loss to Cassopolis he scored 17 points.
