Niles netters battle to 4-4 draw

The Niles tennis team may have won three out of four doubles flights on Tuesday afternoon against visiting Bridgman, but the Vikings could only muster one victory in singles play.

The result was a 4-4 non-conference draw with Bridgman.

Rachael Horn was the lone Niles singles player to earn a win as she defeated Jill Bender 6-0 and 6-0.

The Vikings were victorious at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 doubles.

Lena Cramer and Allison Landgraf defeated Gretta England and Sam Wells 6-4, 6-3, Danielle Rothfuchs and Meg Hein defeated Adrianna Worden and Tiara Strauss 6-3 and 7-5, while Tearah Hutcheson and Anna Benjamin defeated Chelsea Ott and Amber Shepherd 6-3 and 6-1.

Niles was a winner in both junior varsity matches.
