Lawrence H. Zupke of Kalamazoo died peacefully Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 at Park Place Living Center.

Larry was born July 15, 1920, the son of Henry and Ruth (Herman) Zupke. He served in the Navy during World War II. Larry worked as an auditor for the State of Michigan for more than 35 years.
On Aug. 28, 1942, Larry was united in marriage with Irma (Weed) Zupke, who survives.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and James; his wife, Irma; two sons, Alan Zupke and James (Kris) Zupke; a grandson, Chad (Tracey) Zupke; one sister, Mary Louise Hess; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends were received on Tuesday at the Life Story Funeral Home, Betzler-Kalamazoo (800-822-7594), where a service to honor his life will be held today at 1:30 p.m.

Interment will be held at South Portage Cemetery.
