Tara Marazita and Aaron Cox

Tara Marazita and Aaron Cox were married Aug. 15, 2009 at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the University of Notre Dame campus.

The couple had the pleasure of riding in a horse-drawn carriage to their wedding reception, which was held at the Morris Inn’s Irish Courtyard, also on the Notre Dame campus.

Father William Melody presided over the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Kathy Marazita of Niles. The groom is the son of Steven and Cassandra Cox, also of Niles.

Grandparents of the bride are Kathleen Marazita and the late Paul Marazita, who were married on the same date in 1945. Grandparents of the groom are Ray Bishop and the late Rosemary Bishop.

The matron of honor was Angela Yado of Schoolcraft, Mich. The best man was Wesley Bishop of South Bend. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Anglin of Niles; Rachel Carlson of Niles; Christine Lass of South Bend; Jennifer Rabb of College Station, Texas; and Jennifer Servais of Durango, Colo. Groomsmen were Brad Cox of Niles; Gary Okerbloom of Niles; Nick Palmer of Niles; Jeff Thompson of South Bend; and Agustin Yado of Schoolcraft, Mich. Vinny Yado served as ringbearer and Cameron Carlson and Adrianna Yado were flower girls.

Tara, a graduate of Brandywine High School, earned a bachelor of science degree from Central Michigan University in 2005 and a master of arts degree from Western Michigan University in 2007. She is an elementary teacher in Chicago. The groom, also a graduate of Brandywine High School, earned a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Notre Dame in 2005. He is an investment banker in Chicago.
